#Freedom Craft Brewery plans to open its doors with two unique, hand crafted beers. We have spent months refining each recipe and have one of the most advanced quality control laboratories ever established in a microbrewery. We know you'll love the way each of these brews tastes and smells.
The Berry Amendment
An Amber Ale
6.5% ABV - 31 IBU - 11 SRM
Nearly four years in the making, The Berry Amendment is a delicious infusion of fruit in beer. Alongside the three stage hopping of this beer, mixed berries are added at two points. We take extreme care to achieve balance in this beer with no lasting bitterness while making sure all of the sweetness from the fruit is fermented into alcohol. Our unique approach to this beer leaves you drinking a delightful, medium bodied beer with a heavy fruit aroma.
A Pale Ale
5.2% ABV - 40 IBU - 6 SRM
Made entirely from ingredients grown in the United States, Unalienable Rights is subtly hopped in 3 stages to produce a unique flavor profile with below average bitterness. When you first taste it, you'll notice its enjoyable, crisp taste. Adding to the experience is a light citrus aroma and a sessionable light body.
#Freedom Craft Brewery started the way many breweries these days begin. In a small kitchen. What makes us unique is how that kitchen has traveled the world. With a few small batches made in a dorm room in Melbourne, Australia, Brewmaster Barry Hansen has made the dream of all natural, 100% handmade beer a reality.
Traveling to countries all around the world teaches you a lot about beer. Every culture views beer differently while one thing remains universal. People love having an unexpected experience during the course of a pint.
It is that philosophy that helps to form the basis for #Freedom. From the incredible fruit aroma coming off of The Berry Amendment to the labels and packaging, every single part of the drinking experience went into forming #Freedom.
During the summer of 2012, #Freedom Craft Brewery became a reality. Bringing together partners from as far and wide as Australia and Great Britain and as local as Westchester County and Brooklyn, NY, the beer stands for great tasting, natural and truly handcrafted beer.
We put in the effort because we want you to enjoy every part of the experience. Experience the crown popping off the bottle. Experience the gentle swirl down the side of the glass as you pour. Experience the unique feel of the bottle in your hand. Experience the great conversation that ensues when you and your friends bond over #Freedom.

If you had asked me a few years ago what I had planned for the future, a brewery would not have been part of the answer. It took a trip, now five actually, to the opposite side of the world for me to realize how strong my passion for craft beer was. I can't pinpoint exactly what it was that made things click for me, but somewhere buried in my diverse background of Engineering, Biotechnology and Leadership I gained the confidence to get #FREEDOM off the ground. Having been lucky enough to travel to Australia and meet people from dozens of countries I saw a common link among such a broad collection of people. Almost everyone, near and far, regardless of background and agenda enjoys having a chat when they have a quality brew in their hands.
After trying my hand at homebrewing I had such an overwhelming response to my recipes that my homebrew operation grew to a small factory out of my apartment, based on the demand for quality beer from my peers. It was at this point that I turned to my most trusted friends and asked them to get involved. Without all of their support #FREEDOM couldn't happen; another testament to the strong power craft beer holds in uniting people.

Everyone has a story. I had my first meaningful beer with my father. We went to some crummy bar, with some crummy band, during some crummy summer night. It was perfect. I could tell you everything about that night, every detail about our conversation, every memory about that beer.
That's really what it's all about for me. #FREEDOM, above all else, will aid the creation of those memorable moments. All of my background, all of our goals, all of the energy spent means nothing without that. In college (and there after) I was a bit of a beer snob (yes that guy). Thankfully, that snobbery has grown into a passion for making craft beer.
I received a Bachelors in Accounting from Sacred Heart University, and am currently pursuing my MBA in Finance and Economics at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. While I will always cherish my education, the only title that I require these days is brewer of beer.
